On November 20, 2013, Arsenal Football Club announced its partnership with Paris’ oldest fashion house, Lanvin, marking a significant moment for both organizations. This collaboration positioned Lanvin as Arsenal’s official tailor, providing bespoke attire for key representatives, including manager Arsène Wenger and the first-team squad.
The partnership officially launched on November 23, 2013, during Arsenal’s Premier League match against Southampton, and spanned two seasons until 2015. Lanvin Homme, designed under the direction of Lucas Ossendrijver, crafted a sophisticated wardrobe for the team, blending Arsenal’s iconic image with the timeless elegance of Lanvin’s craftsmanship.
Lanvin’s suits were tailored from premium Italian Super 110 fabric in midnight blue, featuring the Arsenal crest embroidered in gold on the jacket. The outfit included a slim-fit white cotton poplin shirt with double cuffs, paired with either a red silk tie or a handmade red silk bow tie for formal occasions. Accessories included black derby shoes, a black belt with a silver buckle, and custom cufflinks engraved with Arsenal’s famous cannon emblem.
In April 2015, several Arsenal players, including Jack Wilshere, Mesut Özil, and Theo Walcott, participated in a photoshoot showcasing Lanvin’s updated spring wardrobe. The suits incorporated seasonal details, such as red rose grosgrain tie pins on the lapels, further elevating the sophistication of the attire. Alongside these players, runway model Olga Sherer donned pieces from Lanvin’s spring/summer 2015 Femme collection, highlighting the fashion house’s versatility.
Throughout the partnership, Lanvin dressed Arsenal players and staff for official appearances, including home matches in the Premier League and Champions League. This collaboration not only brought a touch of Parisian haute couture to Emirates Stadium but also emphasized the shared values of tradition, innovation, and style between the two global icons.
