Official sustainable aluminium packaging partner
Leagues and Tournaments:
In a 2019 study by the BBC and the United Nations-backed Sport Positive Summit, Arsenal topped the league table on sustainability among Premier League clubs.
In October 2020, global aluminum packaging company Ball Corporation launched an official partnership with Arsenal Football Club, aimed at helping the club and its millions of fans worldwide reduce their environmental impact.
This partnership is part of a global agreement between Arsenal’s owners, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE), and Ball Corporation, established to advance sustainability in sports and entertainment and raise awareness of sustainable beverage packaging at sports venues.
In February 2024, through this partnership with Ball Corporation, Arsenal revealed a new bespoke Arsenal x Ball aluminum cup introduced at Emirates Stadium in time for Green Football Weekend.

The cups, which are infinitely recyclable, will be used at all Arsenal matches in the players’ changing rooms, media lounge, the Avenell Club, and across the media facilities as part of ongoing efforts to reduce single-use plastic across all facilities. Additionally, the club’s General Admission areas have their own reusable cups through a partnership with Camden Brewery – Arsenal was the first Premier League club to implement this scheme in 2018/19.
For #GlobalRecyclingDay, we teamed up with @Arsenal to celebrate local students for their innovative & sustainability-focused social action projects apart of the Premier League Inspires Challenge. Arsenal’s reusable cup scheme replaces all single-use plastic pint and half-pint cups, as well as paper soft drink cups.
The scheme saves around 20,000 single-use plastic cups per game, totaling more than half a million per season. Since the project’s inception, over 500,000 plastic cups have already been saved.
