On October 30, 2023, Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club announced a partnership with British Airways, coinciding with the expansion of British Airways’ short-haul flight network from London Gatwick through its subsidiary, BA Euroflyer. The collaboration aligns British Airways with one of the Premier League’s most ambitious clubs, showcasing shared commitments to quality service, community engagement, and environmental sustainability.
On July 26, 2024, around 30 staff members from British Airways Euroflyer and Brighton & Hove Albion joined forces for a beach cleanup initiative at Brighton’s Palace Pier. Organized in partnership with the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation, the event aimed to tackle pollution and promote sustainability in the local community. Participants focused on removing plastic debris and other litter, reflecting the growing concern for environmental conservation.
This initiative complements Brighton & Hove Albion’s ongoing sustainability efforts. Earlier in 2024, the club signed the United Nations Framework for Climate Change (UNFCC) Sports for Climate Action Framework. As part of this commitment, the club aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2040, aligning with the global objectives of the Paris Agreement.
The partnership provides British Airways with significant visibility, including in-stadium advertising on LED and static boards, as well as opportunities for client and guest hospitality. For Brighton & Hove Albion, the collaboration offers enhanced travel connectivity for fans, leveraging British Airways’ year-round service to over 40 destinations across Europe and North Africa, including popular routes to Sharm El Sheikh and Fuerteventura.
