On June 3, 2024, RC Celta and Hummel announced a new long-term partnership, with the Danish sportswear brand taking over as the official technical sponsor of the La Liga club for the next five seasons. The deal includes the design and production of all first team kits, training apparel, and lifestyle wear for players, staff, and the club’s academy divisions.
This agreement represents more than just a kit sponsorship—it unites two centenary institutions, both founded on strong values of tradition, community, and resilience. Vigo now becomes a symbolic meeting point for the Scandinavian brand and Galician club, marking the start of a partnership that is rooted in identity and ambition.
Founded in 1923, Hummel has evolved from its roots in Hamburg, Germany, to become a globally recognized sportswear and fashion brand based in Aarhus, Denmark. Known for blending retro aesthetics with cutting-edge performance technologies, the brand supplies kits for top clubs across Europe, including Everton FC, Southampton, Werder Bremen, FC Köln, Brøndby IF, Saint-Étienne, and the Danish national team.
In Spain, Hummel continues to expand its influence, now supplying kits to Real Betis, UD Las Palmas, SD Eibar, CD Tenerife, and now RC Celta. This positions the company as one of the dominant forces in technical sponsorship within La Liga and Segunda División.
The upcoming Celta kits, to be unveiled ahead of the 2024/25 season, are expected to blend Hummel’s Scandinavian design flair with traditional Galician symbols.
