Napoli and eBay sponsorship contract overview

In May 2023, Napoli played a draw against Udinese in the 33rd round of Serie A and clinched the Scudetto ahead of schedule for the first time in 33 years. After the historic match, Napoli fans flooded the pitch at the Udinese stadium, with some enthusiasts even digging up pieces of the turf as keepsakes. Later, an unusual listing appeared on eBay, offering these souvenirs for sale at prices ranging from 100 to 700 euros.

Two months later, on July 10, 2023, it was announced that eBay, the American company specializing in internet auctions and online marketplaces, had become the official partner of SSC Napoli.

eBay and Napoli Football Club have joined forces for the 2023/2024 football season, with the global marketplace becoming the Official E-commerce Partner of the Neapolitan Club and placing its logo on the team’s sleeve. On the same day, the club released a video introducing the new kit and its new partners.

The partnership agreement entails that players will wear official team kits featuring the eBay logo on the sleeve during home and away matches throughout the Italian league championship and other fixtures throughout the season. These jerseys will be available to fans on eBay.it and Napoli’s official channels, including physical stores and the club’s website. Moreover, eBay will exclusively sponsor the training kits used by players during practice sessions.

In addition to the sleeve logo and training kits, eBay is actively promoting the partnership through social media campaigns with the club. With the marketplace’s support, a miniseries was produced documenting Napoli’s training camp.

On Twitter, Napoli introduces a branded eBay segment with the hashtag #ThrowbackThursday, showcasing goals scored by the football club.
