Description:

Tottenham Hotspur and HSBC – Strategic Banking Partnership

Tottenham Hotspur has formalized a five-year partnership with HSBC, designating the global bank as the Official Banking Partner for both the men’s and women’s teams in the UK and Hong Kong — two key home markets for both organizations.

Focus on Community Impact and Regeneration in North London

The collaboration goes beyond branding, aiming to support Tottenham’s ongoing regeneration efforts. HSBC will contribute to the Club’s local community development programs, which include job creation, education initiatives, and social inclusion projects.

Tottenham’s broader stadium development project is expected to generate 3,500 new jobs across multiple sectors. These efforts complement the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s achievement of over three million opportunities delivered since 2007 in areas such as education, employment, health, and wellbeing — all of which HSBC will now help support with its financial expertise and resources.

Joint Digital Campaigns and Fan Engagement Initiatives

The agreement also includes digital fan engagement initiatives co-developed by HSBC and Tottenham Hotspur. These campaigns are designed to deepen connections with supporters in both regions, using sport as a platform to encourage financial literacy, inclusivity, and community engagement.

Leadership Reactions on the Partnership

Fran Jones, Head of Partnerships at Tottenham Hotspur, commented:

“Over the years, we’ve built a strong relationship with HSBC. This new agreement expands that collaboration in meaningful ways. We’re proud to integrate HSBC into our local employment and education initiatives and jointly develop new projects that drive real social impact.”

Jonathan Castleman, Global Head of Brand Partnerships at HSBC, added:

“This partnership allows us to engage both new and current customers through the unifying power of football. We strongly believe in sport’s ability to foster physical and mental well-being, create inclusive communities, and bring people together. We’re excited to work with Tottenham Hotspur to further these goals.”

Why This Deal Matters

The agreement positions HSBC at the heart of Spurs’ dual ambitions: global brand growth and local social responsibility. By anchoring its presence in two major markets and supporting community-first initiatives, HSBC continues to align its financial services brand with purpose-driven partnerships.
