SS Lazio and Aeroitalia Partnership: A Strategic Collaboration in Football Sponsorship
On August 18, 2023, Italian football club SS Lazio and the airline Aeroitalia announced a partnership for the 2023/24 season. As the Airline Sponsor and Global Partner, Aeroitalia has committed to providing exclusive travel support for SS Lazio players, technical staff, and management during their away matches in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League.
The collaboration began with Lazio’s away match against Juventus in Turin. Additionally, Aeroitalia’s logo was prominently displayed as a sleeve sponsor on Lazio’s first-team jerseys, further integrating the partnership into the club’s branding strategy.
Partnership Renewal: The 2024/25 Season
On August 1, 2024, SS Lazio and Aeroitalia announced the renewal of their partnership for the 2024/25 season. This extended collaboration reflects the mutual satisfaction and shared objectives of both parties.

For the upcoming season, Aeroitalia has increased its commitment by upgrading its sponsorship presence. The Aeroitalia logo will now be featured on the back of the SS Lazio jerseys, replacing its previous position on the sleeve. This change aims to enhance the airline’s brand visibility in both domestic and international competitions.

Founded in 2022 by investor Marc Bourgade, Aeroitalia operates as a privately-owned Italian airline under the leadership of CEO Gaetano Francesco Intrieri. The airline began its operations in May 2022 with charter flights, followed by its first scheduled flight in July 2022.
By July 2023, Aeroitalia had transported over 500,000 passengers and established a network covering 27 destinations. The company also operates flights to Sardinia under the Territorial Continuity program, connecting Olbia with Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino, and Alghero with Rome Fiumicino since February 2023.
