Official fashion partner
In July 2019, Swiss luxury fashion brand Philipp Plein was named the official fashion partner of AC Monza, the football club owned by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. This partnership, which spanned three seasons, focused on creating exclusive off-field uniforms and accessories for the team and its management. The collaboration combined Philipp Plein’s bold, iconic style with the prestige of AC Monza, reinforcing the club’s image both on and off the pitch.
Under the agreement, Philipp Plein designed stylish black suits for the team, adorned with red accents to reflect the club’s primary color. Notable details included the brand’s signature skull motif on jacket lapels and red piping on accessories. This partnership did not cover game kits, which continued to be produced by the sports brand Lotto, but emphasized formal wear for the team’s public appearances and official engagements.
In December 2020, AC Monza and Philipp Plein launched a charitable campaign in support of the Maria Letizia Verga Committee, which focuses on the research and treatment of childhood leukemia, as well as the Live Onlus charity, which donates defibrillators across Italy. To raise funds, the team auctioned off exclusive Philipp Plein-designed uniforms worn by the first team and manager Cristian Brocchi. The auction, hosted on eBay, began with a starting bid of just €1, with all proceeds going to the two charities.
The auctioned items were unique and not available for retail, making them highly coveted by fans and collectors.
