On February 28, 2019, Puma and City Football Group (CFG) announced a global, multi-year partnership. This deal established Puma as the official kit supplier for Manchester City, along with several sister clubs, including Melbourne City FC (Australia), Girona FC (Spain), Club Atlético Torque (Uruguay), and Sichuan Jiuniu FC (China). The partnership officially began in July 2019, making Puma the exclusive supplier for all the men’s, women’s, and youth teams across these clubs.
On September 6, 2024, Girona FC officially renamed its training center in Vilablareix to Girona Football Academy by Puma, marking a significant step forward in the club’s collaboration with the renowned German sportswear brand. This renaming is the result of an extended agreement between Girona FC and Puma, solidifying their partnership which first began during the 2019-2020 season.
