In 2013, Real Betis Balompié and CaixaBank (formerly La Caixa) further strengthened their bond by signing a new agreement. This global sponsorship arrangement introduced innovative proposals, including a unique opportunity for Real Betis fans. Those who paid their salary into the bank could receive a 2013/14 season ticket, granting them access to Liga BBVA matches at the Benito Villamarín Stadium. The agreement was signed by club president Miguel Guillén and Rafael Herrador, the Regional Director of CaixaBank in Western Andalucía.
In 2018, CaixaBank and Real Betis renewed their partnership with a binding agreement extending until the 2020/21 season. This deal solidified CaixaBank’s position as the official sponsor and financial partner of the club. The renewal reinforced CaixaBank’s role in the club’s sponsorship portfolio, providing exclusive financial sponsorship rights. In addition to stadium visibility, CaixaBank received advertising rights across the club’s communication channels, including a range of hospitality packages for their clients.
The continued collaboration included customized supporter cards and a variety of activations to enhance the visibility of the partnership.
The partnership between CaixaBank and Real Betis also focused on family engagement. The Family Fútbol initiative, which provided a range of benefits for the families of Betis supporters, was a major part of the deal. These benefits included loans, insurance discounts, and special offers for tickets to various entertainment activities like cinema and restaurants. This initiative helped deepen the connection between the bank, the club, and the fans, ensuring that the partnership had a positive impact on the wider community.
