During the 2017/18 season, Alfa Romeo, owned by the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group, became the Official Vehicle Partner of Valencia CF. The partnership saw the Italian automotive brand’s logo featured on the first team’s shorts and training apparel, marking a prominent collaboration in both sports and automotive industries.
Valencia CF players visited the Alfa Romeo stand at the Automotive Fair, showcasing the partnership and strengthening ties between the club and the brand in front of a broad audience.
At a special event held at the Ciutat Esportiva, the club’s training ground, Alfa Romeo handed over its latest vehicles to Valencia CF’s first team. The event was attended by notable figures, including Valencia CF president Anil Murthy and FCA Spain and Portugal CEO Alberto de Aza. Players like Neto, Gabriel Paulista, Toni Lato, Daniel Wass, and Kevin Gameiro received their new Alfa Romeo cars, with the event concluding with a thrilling driving demonstration by professional driver Luis Villamil using the Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
To commemorate the club’s centenary, Alfa Romeo, alongside other sponsors, received a unique piece of artwork inspired by the club’s iconic bat symbol. The presentation, led by Valencia CF president Anil Murthy, underscored the shared values of heritage and excellence between the two organizations.
As part of the partnership, season ticket holder Javier Gómez-Lechón won an Alfa Romeo Giulietta in a raffle. The winner met specific conditions, such as attending every match during the 2018/19 season. In a memorable ceremony at Mestalla Stadium, Gómez-Lechón received his prize on his 24th birthday during the Mestalla Forever Tour, with additional celebrations involving his family and club representatives.
The collaboration between Valencia CF and Alfa Romeo concluded after the 2018/19 season. Despite its end, the partnership remains a significant example of integrating premium automotive branding with sports marketing, creating valuable engagement with fans and audiences globally.
