On January 23, 2014, Liverpool FC announced a sponsorship agreement with Vauxhall Motors, making the British automotive brand the club’s official automotive partner in Europe. The deal was set to run until the end of the 2015/16 Premier League season, strengthening Vauxhall’s presence in UK football sponsorship.

Vauxhall Motors, a subsidiary of Stellantis, has a long-standing presence in British football. Prior to partnering with Liverpool FC, the company had already secured sponsorship agreements with all four Home Nations—England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland—further embedding itself in the football community.
The collaboration with Liverpool FC allowed Vauxhall to increase brand visibility, particularly in Merseyside, where its Ellesmere Port manufacturing plant is located. The sponsorship aligned with Vauxhall’s broader marketing strategy, utilizing football as a key engagement platform to reach UK consumers.
During the partnership, Vauxhall received significant brand exposure through matchday advertising, digital campaigns, and engagement with Liverpool’s fanbase. The collaboration also aligned with Liverpool FC’s commercial strategy of securing partners with strong ties to the local economy.
