Chelsea FC Partners with FICO to Promote Financial Literacy in the United States

London / New York, August 2025 – Chelsea Football Club has announced a multi-year regional partnership with FICO, the global leader in analytics software and credit scoring. The deal names FICO as Chelsea’s Regional Enterprise Analytics Partner in the USA and focuses on advancing financial literacy initiatives across the American market.

Empowering Fans Through Financial Literacy

The partnership will place financial education at the heart of its activations. Chelsea FC and FICO will jointly promote the importance of understanding credit, credit scores, and financial management through campaigns designed to engage U.S. football fans. These initiatives aim to help consumers achieve their financial goals while using the global reach of Chelsea to inspire positive change.

FICO’s Expertise in Data and Credit Scoring

Founded in 1956, FICO is renowned for applying data science to improve decision-making for businesses and consumers. The FICO® Score is used by over 90% of top U.S. lenders and is available in more than 40 countries, supporting credit access, transparency, and risk management. Through this collaboration, FICO’s educational tools will be promoted to millions of fans, extending financial awareness beyond the pitch.

Statements from Chelsea FC and FICO

Dan McEwan, Director of Partnerships at Chelsea FC, commented: “We’re delighted to partner with FICO in the U.S. This partnership allows us to harness the power of football to inspire and educate fans, highlighting the importance of financial literacy. Together, we can help supporters gain the knowledge they need to pursue their financial ambitions.”

Jenelle Dito, Vice President of Consumer Empowerment Programs at FICO, added: “Financial well-being is essential to every thriving community. Partnering with Chelsea FC gives us a unique platform to empower fans with tools and resources to make informed financial decisions. By engaging soccer supporters, we hope to foster stronger financial confidence and long-term success.”

Key Initiatives: Score A Better Future™ Programs

The collaboration will highlight FICO’s flagship financial literacy initiatives, including:

  • Score A Better Future™ – a program designed to improve consumer understanding of credit and overall financial well-being.
  • Score A Better Future™ Fundamentals – targeted at teenagers, this initiative equips young people with the knowledge to take control of their finances early in life.

These programs will be integrated into Chelsea’s U.S. activations, ensuring fans receive both engaging football experiences and valuable financial education resources.

A Partnership Beyond the Pitch

By aligning with FICO, Chelsea FC strengthens its presence in the American market while contributing to social impact initiatives. The partnership demonstrates how sports sponsorships can drive both fan engagement and educational outcomes, positioning Chelsea not just as a football club, but as a global platform for positive change.
