In one of the longest-standing partnerships in German professional football, 1. FC Köln and Ford have renewed their cooperation through June 30, 2029. The renewed agreement marks a new chapter in a relationship that began over 30 years ago and continues to play a vital role in the club’s sporting and community development initiatives.
The partnership between 1. FC Köln and Ford Germany dates back to 1994, when Ford became the club’s exclusive partner and shirt sponsor. Back then, club legends such as Bodo Illgner, Toni Polster, and Bruno Labbadia were on the pitch. Over the years, the collaboration has evolved into a deep-rooted alliance based on shared values like innovation, responsibility, and community spirit.
Philipp Liesenfeld, Managing Director of 1. FC Köln, commented:
