Football legend Luis Figo starred in an commercial of UEFA Champions League and Expedia.
The recipient of the Ballon d’Or and winner of the 2001/2002 Champions League was given a fake mustache and wig and was asked to spend a day as a Real Madrid fan on matchday against RB Leipzig.
“Figo has played in over 100 UEFA Champions League games but never truly experienced a matchday in the city,” the video description says.
The former footballer visited iconic spots for Madridista, dropped by a few bars, stayed overnight in a hotel, and shared a drink with unsuspecting fans supporting one of the clubs from his career.
And to the surprise of onlookers at the bar, he removed his disguise at the end of the video.
The commercial was a result of collaboration among three brands as part of the Expedia Live project. Luis Figo serves as the ambassador for the UEFA Champions League, while Expedia and the UEFA Champions League have been working together under a sponsorship agreement since 2018.
