Genoa, Italy – August 9, 2025 – Genoa CFC, Italy’s oldest professional football club, has announced a new two-season partnership with Howden, a leading global insurance brokerage firm and the third-largest in the Italian market. The agreement will run through the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons, covering the club’s Serie A and Coppa Italia campaigns.
As part of the deal, the Howden logo will feature exclusively on Genoa’s pre-match and training shirts. This strategic placement aligns the brand with the club’s daily operations and match preparations, offering high visibility to fans at the stadium, on television broadcasts, and across social media channels.
Flavio Ricciardella, General Manager of Genoa CFC, welcomed the new collaboration:
“We are delighted to welcome Howden and the excellence it represents in its field. We believe this partnership will generate positive outcomes for the businesses connected to the club, fostering new synergies and creating long-term value. On behalf of the ownership, I thank Howden for their trust – we will work hard to make this cooperation a success.”
Alberto Carrara, Deputy General Manager for Markets & Solutions at Howden Italy, highlighted the shared values between the two organizations:
“This partnership reinforces Howden’s commitment to sport, with which we share core values – passion, commitment, and inclusion. Like Genoa, our focus is on people, attracting and developing talent. This agreement is a natural step in our growth journey and strengthens our ties with the local community.”
Alessio Dufour, Howden’s North-West Area Director, added:
“We are proud to support the economic fabric of the area where we operate. This collaboration with Genoa further strengthens our commitment to the city, enhancing the identity and tradition of a club that is a true symbol of Italian football.”
The alliance with Genoa CFC is part of Howden Group’s wider strategy to support sport and local businesses. Leveraging its nationwide presence and teams of specialists in diverse sectors and risk management, Howden aims to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of its partners in the sporting world.
