Revolut, a leading global fintech platform with over 60 million individual users and hundreds of thousands of business customers worldwide, has announced its first official entry into the world of Italian football through a strategic partnership with Como 1907. Starting from the 2024/25 season, Revolut takes on the role of the club’s Global Banking and FX Partner, supporting both operational and fan engagement initiatives.
Como 1907 has adopted Revolut Business to manage its financial infrastructure. This includes daily banking activities, cross-border payments, foreign currency exchanges, and financial operations related to the transfer market. By leveraging Revolut’s real-time exchange rates and transparent cost structure, the club improves agility in finance and boosts overall efficiency.
In addition, Como staff are now equipped with Revolut Business cards, enabling real-time expense management, simplifying accounting processes, and improving budget oversight across departments.
As part of the fan-facing benefits, Revolut Pay will be integrated into Como 1907’s official online store and ticketing system. Fans can now enjoy a streamlined and secure checkout process for matchday tickets and club merchandise.
Moreover, Revolut customers in Italy will have exclusive early access to home match tickets before they go on general sale – adding value for loyal users and reinforcing the connection between financial services and live sports entertainment.
“We’re excited to team up with Como 1907 – a club that reflects our own ambition, tech-driven mindset, and commitment to community,” said Nicola Vicino, General Manager Italy at Revolut. “Our solutions will support the club’s operations behind the scenes, while also enhancing the experience for their supporters on matchdays.”
Ryan Shelton, Chief Revenue Officer at Como 1907, added: “Revolut is a brand that continuously pushes boundaries in finance. That spirit matches our vision for modernizing football operations. This partnership isn’t just about visibility – it’s about redefining how a club can operate with efficiency and fan-centricity.”
Revolut will benefit from high visibility across Como 1907’s media and matchday ecosystem, including:
This presence will strengthen Revolut’s positioning as a premium fintech brand associated with elite sports innovation in Southern Europe.
Launched in 2015, Revolut began as a money transfer and currency exchange platform in the UK. Today, it operates as a licensed European bank, offering a wide suite of personal and business tools across finance, savings, investments, crypto, and payments. Serving over 60 million customers globally, Revolut processes more than half a billion transactions per month and continues to scale in new markets—including Italy and the broader EU.
