U.S. Soccer and Purina Announce Historic Partnership as First-Ever Official Pet Care Partner

Atlanta & St. Louis, August 26, 2025 – The U.S. Soccer Federation has announced a landmark multi-year partnership with Purina, making the pet care leader the first-ever Official Pet Care Partner of U.S. Soccer. Running through 2030, this agreement celebrates the unique bond between pets and the global game, uniting two communities built on joy, loyalty, and connection.

Partnership Timed with a Defining Era for U.S. Soccer

The partnership comes at a historic moment, as the United States prepares to host the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. With international attention turning to American soccer, Purina and U.S. Soccer aim to spotlight how pets enrich the lives of players, fans, and families, creating new ways for supporters to engage during one of the sport’s most exciting chapters.

“Soccer is more than a sport – it’s about connection, family, and shared experiences, values we see reflected in the role pets play in our lives,” said David Wright, Chief Commercial Officer of U.S. Soccer. “Purina’s commitment to community and joy makes them an ideal partner as we continue growing the game across the U.S.”

Exclusive Rights and Fan-Focused Activations

As part of the deal, Purina receives exclusive rights across pet food, treats, supplements, litter, connected pet products, and adoption initiatives. Fans can expect a series of activations and campaigns, including:

  • Creative campaigns highlighting the bond between fans, players, and their pets
  • Custom digital content featuring U.S. Soccer players and their furry companions
  • On-site pet adoption events at matches
  • Co-branded merchandise and retail promotions
  • A permanent pet-focused space at the upcoming Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Atlanta

“Together with U.S. Soccer, we’re celebrating the amazing role pets play as teammates in life, supporting both physical and mental wellbeing,” said Andrea Faccio, President and Chief Growth Officer of Purina. “This partnership allows us to connect with soccer fans across the U.S. and globally in a way that’s both joyful and impactful.”

Bringing Pets Into the Matchday Experience

Purina’s presence will debut during the U.S. Men’s National Team’s international friendlies this September. At the match against Korea in Harrison, New Jersey, Purina will introduce the Purina Club—an in-stadium, pet-friendly fan zone. Days later, during the match against Japan in Columbus, Ohio, the Purina Incredible Dog Team will perform at halftime, bringing entertainment for fans and their four-legged companions alike.

Shared Commitment to Community and Growth

The partnership also aligns with both organizations’ focus on social responsibility. Beyond football activations, Purina and U.S. Soccer will promote initiatives around pet adoption, inclusion, and community engagement, reflecting their shared mission of creating positive impact both on and off the field.

By blending the passion of soccer with the companionship of pets, this collaboration sets the stage for fans to celebrate the game in new, authentic ways as the U.S. enters a defining era in global sport.
