Nyon, September 2025 – UEFA has confirmed a major multi-year sponsorship agreement with Vodafone, making the telecommunications giant the official partner of UEFA Women’s Football. The five-year deal will cover a wide range of competitions, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO 2029, UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO 2027, the UEFA Women’s Nations League, Women’s European Qualifiers, and both the UEFA Women’s Under-17 and Under-19 Championships.
By joining as a UEFA Women’s Football Partner, Vodafone aligns itself with some of the most influential brands supporting the women’s game. The agreement highlights the company’s commitment to driving inclusion and leveraging its global reach to enhance visibility for women’s football at every level. Vodafone now stands alongside Amazon and PepsiCo as part of UEFA’s 2025–2030 commercial cycle for women’s football.
In addition to its role in women’s football, Vodafone has become an official licensed partner of the UEFA Champions League for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons. Coinciding with the launch of the new league phase, Vodafone will introduce the Champions Travel eSIM, offering seamless connectivity in 206 countries, including all 55 UEFA member associations. Customers will also have the opportunity to win free match tickets through regular prize draws, further strengthening fan engagement across Europe and beyond.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Executive Director of Marketing, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vodafone as a sponsor of UEFA Women’s Football and a UEFA Champions League licensee. Vodafone’s strong track record in supporting sport, coupled with their commitment to innovation and inclusion, aligns seamlessly with our ambition to grow the game at every level.”
Nadine Kessler, UEFA Women’s Football Director, added: “The meteoric rise of the women’s game, highlighted by the record-breaking success of this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO, continues to attract some of the world’s most recognisable brands. Vodafone’s global reach makes them an ideal ally as we create more opportunities for women and girls while inspiring the next generation of fans and players worldwide.”
Ahmed Essam, CEO of European Markets at Vodafone, commented: “It is great to once again be associated with European football. We are excited to sponsor women’s football, one of the fastest-growing sports globally. As an official licensee of the men’s flagship club competition, Vodafone will help enhance the fan experience by launching the Champions Travel eSIM.”
This agreement marks Vodafone’s return to elite men’s football sponsorship, having previously sponsored the UEFA Champions League from 2006 to 2009. With its renewed commitment to both women’s and men’s competitions, Vodafone reestablishes itself as a key player in European football’s commercial landscape.
