In a major move for both football and gaming, EA SPORTS FC and FC Bayern Munich have announced an exclusive, multi-year partnership, solidifying their collaboration in the world of football video games. This deal brings one of Europe’s most successful clubs into the spotlight of one of the most played sports gaming franchises globally.
The new agreement ensures that FC Bayern Munich is featured with full authenticity in EA SPORTS FC 26, including the official Allianz Arena, which had been absent from recent editions. Fans will now once again experience the intense atmosphere of Bayern’s iconic home ground in-game.
A key highlight of the partnership is the introduction of FC Bayern’s women’s team into EA SPORTS FC. This inclusion reflects the rising prominence of the women’s game and aligns with EA’s broader strategy of expanding representation in football gaming.
This collaboration is not just about visuals. It’s part of a strategic push to deepen engagement with Gen Z football fans, connecting the traditional matchday experience with the growing digital fanbase.
“Football is passion—on the pitch and on the console,” said Michael Diederich, Executive Vice Chairman at FC Bayern Munich. “This partnership gives us the opportunity to connect with a new generation of fans who experience the game differently. Together with EA SPORTS FC, we want to bridge the physical and digital football worlds.”
The announcement also revealed that Jamal Musiala, one of Bayern’s brightest young stars, will appear as the cover athlete for EA SPORTS FC 26. His selection highlights the club’s growing influence on a global scale and connects Bayern’s next-gen talent with gaming audiences worldwide.
“We are honored to welcome FC Bayern Munich as a premier partner,” said James Taylor, Director of Football Partnerships at EA SPORTS. “Bayern’s heritage, global fanbase, and excellence both on and off the field make them a perfect partner for EA SPORTS FC. Their inclusion will elevate the in-game experience for millions of players.”
Fans can expect exclusive digital content, game updates, and interactive experiences tailored specifically around FC Bayern Munich throughout the upcoming EA SPORTS FC releases. More than 750 clubs, 300+ official licenses, and 120+ stadiums will be part of the game, with FC Bayern being one of the central partners driving innovation and realism.
