Manchester United and adidas today unveiled the club’s new home kit for the 2024/25 season. The design, which is available for purchase now, captivates attention under the Old Trafford lights with a myriad of red shades creating a unique glow effect.
The 2024/25 home kit draws inspiration from a shirt worn by the Busby Babes in 1952. This original shirt was made from reflective materials to improve visibility on the pitch during the early years of evening games played under floodlights.
The new design features bold combinations of red, blended to form a gradient that transitions from light to dark red down the main body of the shirt, giving it the appearance of an ever-changing color.
The promo for the new kit featured club legend Eric Cantona.
Another notable feature of the new kit is the logo of the new front-of-shirt sponsor, Snapdragon.
Snapdragon is a system-on-a-chip (SoC) processor found in a wide variety of devices including smartphones, laptops, virtual reality (VR) headsets, augmented reality (AR) headsets, cars, gaming handhelds, smartwatches, headphones, and earbuds. Snapdragon processors are integrated SoCs, managing more than traditional CPUs by handling graphics, audio, connectivity, AI, and efficient computing, thus enhancing everyday experiences.
Snapdragon is a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. an American multinational corporation headquartered in San Diego, California, and incorporated in Delaware. The company creates semiconductors, software, and services related to wireless technology. Qualcomm owns patents crucial to the 5G, 4G, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, and WCDMA mobile communications standards.
