Born on June 2, 1988, in Quilmes, Argentina, Sergio “Kun” Agüero is a retired professional footballer widely regarded as one of the most prolific strikers in football history. Known for his agility, finishing, and technical skills, Agüero has left an indelible mark on football through his remarkable club and international career.
Agüero began his professional journey with Independiente in Argentina, making his debut at the age of just 15, becoming the youngest player to play in the Argentine Primera División at that time. In 2006, he moved to Atlético Madrid, where he showcased his extraordinary talents, winning the UEFA Europa League in 2010.
In 2011, Agüero joined Manchester City, a move that defined his career. Over a decade, he became the club’s all-time leading scorer with 260 goals and secured five Premier League titles, including the unforgettable last-minute goal in 2012 that clinched the title—the moment immortalized in football history. He also won the FA Cup and six League Cups during his tenure at City.
In 2021, Agüero transferred to FC Barcelona, but his career was cut short due to health issues, leading to his retirement in December 2021.
